MUSICAL OPINION SEP/OCT 2008
RIAN EVANS
`My visit to Iford Manor on the 16th June for the opening of their summer opera was specifically to watch the Welsh baritone Mark Evans sing the role of Figaro in Mozart`s Le Nozze di Figaro. It was an impressive performance - Evans has a naturally dramatic instinct and uses it to colour his already highly musical singing, while every single syllable of Michael Irwin`s translation was crystal clear!`
July saw Mark return to Brockweir Festival for an evening of food ,fun and operatic highlights. Returning for about the 8th time!

Last March was really crazy for Mark after returning from Singapore at the begining of the month, it was straight up to London for a Royal command performance, and a world premiere for Her Majesty the Queen. It was wait for it ... the opening of T5 - the new Terminal 5 at Heathrow...did anyone lose a bag!

What a night all in aid of the Saint John Ambulance Brigade and filmed for a Christmas special.
